Join us for our "180km for ONE80" cycling event to support the work of ONE80TC.
(RESCUE Individuals, RESTORE HOPE, REBUILD Families)
The Ride for HOPE (Hold On Pain Ends) is ONE80TC's major annual fundraising event and accommodates up to 80 riders.
On Friday 13th May we will once again be heading up to Magenta Shores via Mangrove Mountain and your reward for going the distance will be a Gala dinner and overnight accommodation in the 5 Star Pullman Magenta Shores Resort with a full buffet breakfast the following morning.
We encourage you to register yourself: (Be One) and then influence someone in your sphere: (Bring One), to cycle with you in Ride for HOPE 2022.
2022 will be a one day/one night event.
Each rider must raise the minimum fundraising target of $3,000 to participate, with a goal for each rider of $5,000.
As a charity ride all funds raised go to support the ONE80tc program.
The aim is that all our riders will complete 180km for ONE80.
180km sound like too much? We will also be offering a slightly shorter option that starts at Wiseman Ferry and cuts off around 45kms for those who are not quite ready to tackle the full 180km route.
Rider registration includes all support crew and logistics, bike mechanics, meals, accommodation and high quality Cinettica limited edition rider kit (knicks and jersey).
We know not everyone is able to ride but you can still play a part by Volunteering.
Registering as a volunteer helps us with our logistics and enables us to allocate a role that best suits your skills.
6:15am - Rider call time at Lynwood Country Club.
This allows you time to check in your luggage and eat your complementary bacon & egg roll to fuel you up for the day ahead.
7:00am - The first Peloton heads on out.
Each peloton group is supported by a lead and follow vehicle with roving support buses and bike mechanics at hand when needed.
Throughout the route there will be directional arrows on the corners as well as road marshals to point you in the right direction and cheer you on.
There are 3 separate pelotons to accommodate different rider capabilities:
Lunch will be served at Mangrove Mountain around 100kms mark where there will also be a physiotherapy tent to assist you with any niggling injuries picked up along the way.
With the final kilometres behind you, you will arrive at Magenta Shores where you can have a post ride massage and enjoy all the facilities the Resort has to offer.
We celebrate the successful completion of the Ride with lots of laughs and some much needed sustenance with our Gala Dinner for all our Riders and Volunteers.
In the lead up to Ride for HOPE we encourage all riders to strongly consider having a consistent riding routine in place at least 12 weeks out from the event
They offer different paced groups to accommodate all fitness levels.
If you would like to take part in the training rides, email your mobile number to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will add you to the WhatsApp group chat.
We will be staying at the 5 star Pullman Magenta Shores Resort in their apartment style accommodation just a few minutes' walk from the beach with dinner and a full buffet breakfast included.
